Anyone successfully setup an email account.
Have tried via PC and in car but Google is rejecting the request.
I then get an email from informing me that a "Suspicious Sign-In" has been prevented.
I've allowed access for less secure apps from within Google but still no joy.
Will give customer services a call tomorrow but just wondered if anyone else has problems?
 
I saw the Google email account there but I couldn't access it. It never used to have a Gmail tab on there but it appeared one day.....
 
Unbelievably difficult to use. Never bothered with it as I have my iPhone with me all the time which is galaxies easier.
 
Sussed it after a bit of googling and translating a german forum.

1) Set up "2 Step Verification from within "Google Security". https://www.google.com/landing/2step/

What this will do is allow you to setup "mail" from "Other(customised name)"............I named it "BMW".
It then generates a custom 16 digit password that you enter as your Google password rather than your normal one during the mail setup process at http://www.bmw-connecteddrive.co.uk settings/Set up services/E-Mail accounts

Works a treat but doubt I'll use it much......just bugged me that I couldn't get it working. :)
