Connected booster package

Just seen this as an option on the BMW shop and says it available for my car.

However the description of things it adds are already things I have got. Have I missed something?

It's a glitch I think. My car is showing the same and yet all packages are also loaded.
Oddly it tells me that my service inclusive is at 27k miles but i know the car only has 16k on it.

I’ve looked into this. It’s a rebranding of the connected professional package which we have included for 3 years from purchase.

My car has just turned 3 years old , when going on my bmw app you no longer see car info location ,fuel in the tank etc. If I want to renew its £89 for a year , I think I can live without it .

Wait until Black Friday sale.

good advice ,maybe the same for a service plan
If your car is 3 years old, then it must have its first service already. Then, the service inclusive can no longer be subscribed. It has to be subscribed before the very first service.

You can buy a service plan at anytime ,car is due a service this October so yes first service has been done , at present they want £900 for next 2 services and mot.so a bit rich

It seems it’s only available on the app during Black Friday.

A service plan and service inclusive are two different animals, as [ref]ori[/ref], says, service inclusive is only available during Black Friday.

Indeed, service plan and service inclusive are two different things and sometimes may be confused. Service plan is the pay monthly plan that intends to spread the cost of future service. The Service Inclusive is one-off upfront cost subscription which gives you any service specified by the manufacturer(BMW) and required by the car's CBS within 5years/60k miles period free of charge.

Then, the service inclusive subscription "must have been purchased by the first service appointment so that the respective services are covered" (as highlighted in the attached screenshot of BMW ConnectedDrive store). Based on my experience of my G31 which had its first service before the Service Inclusive became available during Black Friday sales to other members on the 5-series forum whose cars hadn't had the first service yet by then, the Service Inclusive can no longer be subscribed after the first service appointment.

So, if [ref]adey[/ref], just want the pay monthly plan, then you can setup the plan anytime during your ownership. However, if you want to subscribe to the Service Inclusive, then I'm pretty sure it has to be subscribed before first service. Otherwise, this subscription is no longer available for you regardless of whether it's black friday sale or boxing day sale.

Be careful if taking out a monthly service plan, if you sell the car whilst in credit and do not transfer the plan to another BMW, they will refund you your credit balance minus a £60 admin fee. As the service plan does not guarantee to cover the actual service costs, i.e. if costs are more than estimated, you are liable for the difference. Therefore you are as well just putting the monthly cost into a separate account of your own.

Yup. I think the service plan on Black Friday is actually a good deal if you keep the car for a least 2 services. It also transfers with the car if you sell it.
