Confused re radio change

Hi before I ask the question please bear in mind my total inability at installation of the new radio I have just bought
My car is a 2003 2.5i auto
My son is to fit the said alpine ida305s however on checking my speakers I now realise that I've ten speakers and what looks like a sub in the boot next to my battery all I can see is a small green connector on side of the black box no writing on the box that I can see.
I've checked on the forum but what I'm really need to know is
1 is it a big job to connect the alpine unit as there's 10 speakers
2 will it be best to seek out an audio technician to change as my son never seems to have more than an hour " available " Time young people extremely busy :headbang:
Any help would be extremely greatfull
Thanks Geoff

Hi jamie haven't removed the radio mate I saw that the forum was indicating that rewiring would be needed and other complications i decided to ask for the advice before I finish up with just a hole in the dash and nothing else

Have you got DSP settings (church, etc) on the current head unit? I recall it being a bit more complicated if you do.

Tbh, the 10 speaker DSP is a fantastic system, I certainly wouldn't swap mine for anything aftermarket as I think you'd have to spend a lot to better it.

The amp is next to the battery and you will have four subs in the car. The subs are an odd impedance, and I believe quite difficult to drive with anything other than the original amp.

Yeah it does have the church concert etc on it
It's just the head I want to change so I can use my stick to play all my music on I've got the alpine Ida 305 S head unit and connectors and male to female USB but I read somewhere on here that you need to rewrite all the speakers with the 10 speaker system

Stick a parrot kit in with an SOT lead. All of the sound will go through the oem amp and head unit and not the parrot amp. My music sounds fantastic streamed from Deezer.
