Confirmed , cracked manifold

I've been searching this forum and have found it be be a common issue.

Two things I can't find answers for are

What damage can you cause the car by not fixing it?

How quickly should I fix it? I have a few trips next week ...would that cause any additional damage ?

cracked manifold = exhaust gases in engine bay which can get into the cabin.
 
Like I said on your 'Farty Exhaust' thread, don't leave it too long as the 02 sensors will start to cause incorrect fuelling, rough running and damage to the catalytic converter.
