So, because you know nothing about it that means its rubbish?

If you have no interest in it why are you in the "Detailing" section?

la la la la.. I think my post of all the 'names' tells different,

what do you mean, ? thats exactly what T cut is for; its a polishing compound, I didnt say I use it , just giving it as an example of a polishing compound that doesnt give an protection, T cut is decades old and hopelessly out of date,as it is a petroleum distilate whereas a lot of modern compounds are water based , and so much easier to use, my original question to mr wilks was re wether you need to apply a wax over the top of autoglym super resin polish, as it doesnt say you have to on the bottle. :o

scorpian , very true to a point, i think of wax a bit like the appartment recently purchased by some russian oligarch for 100 million quid, it is probably worth less than a tenth of that, but if it was only 10 million he probably wouldnt have wanted it as his aim was the kudos {in his warped mind) of owning the most expensive appartment in london. as we all know you can pay anthing for a tin of wax from a fiver to several thousand quid, and there are people who buy it, but i bet there arent many who buy it and not tell anyone they buy it, which makes me think its not about the wax but about the money. thats ok as some people have so much disposable income that its just relevant, a tenner to one person is a thousand to another. personally half the pleasure of a hobby car is the enjoyment of finding better or maybe easier to use products, and its a thrill buying a new wax sometimes at a few quid more than you normally pay in the belief that you are doing the best for your paintwork, I think once you get over about 20 quid a pop, that wax is basically wax and it then becomes a bragging thing, I really think that if a detailer mopped two adjacent panels on a vehicle with whatever foams and compounds he chose so that all imperfectations were corrected and swirl free, if he then waxed one panel with any less than a tenner mainstream brand of wax and the other panel with the 2500 pound super ultra 1000 percent brazillian carnauba wax i bet there would be no visible difference

Of course there is a difference, but it is meant to be 'visible' to only the really intelligent.
