Confession + polish advice????

Hi all ive got confession i haven't polished the zed yet and im abit out of touch with all this clay, dodo juice, protector, etc stuff!!! what does everyone recommend i get for the paint work? please forgive me for i have sinned!!!! :evil:
 
I,m a enthusiastic polishing novice but have found 3 products that do the job for me without spending a fortune .
used in this order

This hole cleaning polishing thing gets me worried!!! I have read the below guide and it helps.

But mr Wilks auto glym I have and use it quite often. I thought I was done then?? I now have to get some products called poorboys and meguiars what do I do with them? I have already polished my car.
 
Haha , Mr Mm , if you are using autoglym super resin polish only then you will need a wax or glaze to go on afterwards , if a glaze then you will need a wax or sealer to keep the shine
Have to admit to doing it all wrong initially & a kind forumite pointed me in the right direction .
The AG SRP removes so only needs using rarely to "strip" back the paintwork before adding products ,
i tried using it as my final coat only to find this was removing all my previous good work :headbang:
 
What you need to buy is the one with the most random name you can find....
Please make sure you also buy it at the most expensive price you can find, as that also makes a difference.

It's absolute shite but the kudos it generates on here is unbelievable...... :rofl: :poke:

Thanks Mr Wilks i thought my paint was really bad as i just don't get the shine you other guys do. No it might just be due to the polish i have been using!!

I am really looking forward to a warm dry weekend. Where i have the time to do all this properly. I got the zed a AG clay bar kit for Christmas. Its birthday is not till October but i think i will treat her to some wax :D

mr wilks, are you sure you need to apply a wax over auyoglym srp ? i know what yr saying that a polish technically only polishes the paint and doesnt protect it , as when you compound the paint you then need to wax. but i dont recall reading anywher on the bottle that you need to wax, it says that it contains polymers etc to protect the paint from sun, rain etc etc. also it must have protection as it beads up and repels water whereas if you polish the paint with say T cut, it doesnt bead up at all. :?

So, because you know nothing about it that means its rubbish?

If you have no interest in it why are you in the "Detailing" section?
