Can anybody help? I need to find a way of displaying details for .MOV files in Windows Explorer. I believe it is something to do with property handlers, shell extensions or something, trouble is I'm an amateur at this :(
 
Tools / Folder Options / View (for XP ...)

Or click View / select details.

You forgot to say which OS though :)
 
It's Vista. I can access the details view in explorer, it's the fact that .mov files are not supported, .avi's are fine
 
Do you mean you want to play them via Quicktime or so? Not sure what you mean with "supported" in explorer as explorer is just a file lister.
 
They play fine, I just want to be able to list details such as bitrate, date, time etc and sort columns in explorer with this data
 
I have downloaded mediatab which is similar to mediainfo and gives the information in a tab (strangely enough). What I wanted was to be able to search/sort a number of files at the same time, rather than look at the info one by one
