Compliment from a stranger

Aww that's nice.

I had my first (stranger) compliment, in Bristol recently by a couple of lads. Very friendly place in generally, should go there more.

On the way on Friday to Towcester, at the roundabout and a child from a car on the inside lane shouted across " Nice Car" :) to which I replied "thanks" and waved

I was stopped at a local garage by a woman and her 10 yr old son and was asked if he could have sit in my Zed to have his picture taken.
Apparently he wants one when he's old enough.. :driving:

Each time I go to stay in the usual hotel in Germany, the landlady always borrows the keys for half an hour then shows them to her pals boasting of her new car!

She didn't do it with the E85 only with the E89 - I don't know why.

American tourist, late teens / early 20s, in central London: "Nice car Sir!"
Wouldn't get that from your average Londoner! :)

I get a good few compliments about her, had a guy on the euro tunnel the other who had a list of questions to ask. It always amazes me that people have never really seen them before

Had a dog walker shout 'nice car' and give me a wink as I worked on the drive changing over the wheels, oi oi I thought,
but as I turned to see her I didn't know how to respond, she looked like she could suck a golf ball through a garden hose :o

A week or two ago i had had a petrol station till attendant leave her post to come out onto the forecourt to chat about it whilst i filled up. Same week i was on the jaguar site in solihull and an engineer came out his office to chat about the car straight after i parked up (turns out he was ex BMW engineer and used to have a company 35is but still prefers the E85). Often get people at the lights complimenting the car and colour in particular, and always plenty of kids waving and shouting nice car.

Always makes my day. :D

I find it hard to believe people don't realise they can buy one like mine, for around 5 grand and yet people say things like "your doing well for yourself" or "how can you afford a car like that".

I do remind people at work that their brand new focus cost three times the amount of my car. What's even funnier that people think it's truly the ultimate driving machine when In fact my father in law's ten year old Astra, is a better drive than my Bone crushing Zed :?

I had someone clean my Z last weekend as I didn't have time to do it myself, when he finished and after I paid he said" by the way you have a very nice car" I have hand numerous comments over the years.

In the petrol station a few weeks ago. Somebody shouted over 'w@nker' before giving me what I think was a special wave.

It was a very nice feeling when a couple of kids that looked around my lads age - 7-8 pointed enthusiastically and said wow!! look at that cool car..... :D
damm I wish I was a kid again!!

Imagine the additional compliments you'd get if you had a Roadster :poke: :D

Had a couple of good comments from Neighbours re my E89 and E85 today.
They couldn't believe how much the E85 was up for sale for, both thinking it was about a 10k car. :D
