Compliment from a stranger

I have owned my Zed for over 10 years and can count on one hand the number of times a stranger has complimented the car.

Well yesterday we were parking the the Zed up in Carlisle and as I got out to get a ticket a guy stopped getting in his car and came over and told me I had a beautiful car, I thanked him.

I couldn't help smiling as I walked away thinking not bad for a 10 year old car with 80K on the clock.

Got to agree with him though and even at 10 years old they are still a great looking car and IMO far better cohesive design than its replacement.

Anyone else had a random stranger compliment their car?

The first time I put fuel in my car last week the attendant complimented me on our new car, it was really nice. First time ever someone has said something like that. Its a lovely feeling isn't it :D

Yup, an old dear walking her dog, stopped, looked and said how nice it looked. I assume the car or were my flies down?!

Yeah, I got quite a few compliments myself on the 11 year old car. Mostly from pump attendant and at the car wash. Probably because I look at best 16 years old in this country lol.

I complimented a lady in the petrol station tonight, she was driving a white audi tt

Stopped for a woman on a horse to go by - didn't fancy a couple of horseshoe dents of the bonnet !

as she walked by she said " what a beautiful car ! " - again not bad for a 10 year old ( still think the early E85 look more like a real sports roadster than an E89 )

Had a guy in a Bentley Continental compliment my Zed at the petrol station - offered to do a swop for a day - after all his was a hard top. . .

:driving:

E85 = Stunning looking car every time I wash my car and step back I think it still looks good I had a chef in France come out to the car park to look at my car his words were its a very beautiful car when talking to my neighbour about buying a camper she replied but then you would have to sell your beautiful car.

It must be those VMR's richard

This is now the longest car i have owned... The only reason i have kept it so long is that for what it is i find it hugely practical and still puts a smile on my face.

Last weekend we drove to london and back from derby over 300 miles and i still had just under half a tank left!

I was parked at Leicester square last weekend waiting for the GF and actually had a couple of tourists take pictures of the car. Now that's a compliment

Interestingly my so called m8 thinks z4 is hairdressers car which is a bit rich coming from someone whos owned SLK and MX5 !

Top hairdressers cars got to be 1) Crossfire 2) SLK 3) Boxster 4) MX5
5) MR2 ........10) just maybe Z4 (E89 :) )
