***Completed*** Scorpion Exhausts - E85/86 - 2.5si and 3.0si Exhaust System Development!

So, Today was supposed to be the day I took my car over to Scorpion for the development, but unfortunately my Electric waterpump had other ideas.

Having had a strange experience yesterday on a shorter journey with the engine getting upto temperature, but the cabin heating not seeming to do anything, then the same thing happening this morning, as I entered the motorway the engine temp started to creep up above 90˚c.

Luckily I have a keen eye and pulled over as soon as it started to creep up. After a few minutes to cool down, I started the car up again and proceeded to make my way back home. At first the temps were creeping up again, then suddenly, they dropped down to 90˚c and stayed perfectly level all the way home! So... Looks like I'm going to need to swap out the Thermostat and Water Pump before Re-arranging the development slot!

Gutted, but at least it happened close to home and before I got there :)

bugger.. thats hard luck mate :( ... hope you get it sorted and back in for the system.. think a lot of us are looking forward to seeing and hearing it

With my waterpump and thermostat changed, and a rather extended road test, I now need to see when the next development slot can be made :D

I'll let you guys know once I have confirmation.

OK guys - With the Z4 back on the road and a weekend full of extended road tests - It's all good to go, so a quick update:
Development is back on, I will be dropping the car off with Scorpion on Sunday this week. Development begins on Monday.

Onwards and upwards!

Typical going to have to catch up on this, we are going away for 2 and half weeks on Saturday

Very interested in this!

I have been searching and searching for a replacement system and come up empty, I don't like the Eisenmann system either as the sound just isn't what I'm after. Really hope this comes to fruition :driving:

It will be doing :)

Got my route planned to Scorpion on Saturday, and will be getting a lift from Scorpion to Buxton for a VW/Audi meet with a colleague in his Porsche Cayman-S, then getting a lift home afterwards.
I'll probably spend my time at the VW/Audi meet in the pub having a few beers and some foods though instead of looking at the cars lol.

I really want an S2000 style exhaust - one large exit either side. Anyone know of any Zed with this?

You'll be needing to go and have a custom one done for that.

+1
all of the ones I have seen stick with the twin tail setup, if you're after something like an S2000 exit the best option for you would be a custom that way you get exactly what you're looking for

Exhaust Manufacturers who sell off the shelf product don't generally get involved in anything which is going to require:
A) Cutting of the rear bumper
B) Welding or any additional support bracket setup
C) Anything with a possibility of melting the OE bodywork

Yea that's fair enough, however there seem to be loads of options for fake z4m style exhausts which are essentially the same thing :p

It's a little different with the ///M replica exhausts as there's an OEM bumper that's a direct fit which will accommodate 4x Tailpipes.
Plus there's any number of people out of there who are looking to make their car look like the ///M model.

True. Any ideas on ballpark figures for a custom exhaust? Tbh I don't really want it much louder, just a tiny bit of a rumble!
