Completed cruise control retro on post 04 car! :)

Yay!!!

It took me 2 hours, but most of this was faffing and double checking.

Few hairy moments when cutting the wires and running the blue cable up into the engines DME.

I took a few photos as I went, so I will try and do a Post 04 writeup tomorrow at work to add to SK's pre one.

Have you considered offering a 'you bring, i'll fit it' service for other owners!?

Not quite got the balls to do it myself, just got the stalk in the car so far to tempt me......

I'm picking my 54 plate 3.0 up tomorrow, and it's missing the cruise control! I too would be interested to read your write up of what parts/tools etc were needed! I'd be brave enough to do it myself with the proper instruction!! :D

Look forward to seeing the guide - especially how you got the blue wire into the engine bay.

Still have my stork and wiring all wrapped up as when it came may just get someone to fit it as if its left to me i'll never get it done!
 
I may be missing a few posts on this but dont you need a software re-configure for cruise on a post 04 car? I was very tempted to have a go on my 2006 coupe. Would it work without the software bit?
