Complete loss of throttle response

I have this intermittent issue with my 2003 2.5l. I'll be driving along and then I'll lose all throttle response. It's like the car doesn't get any input from the accelerator pedal. Each time, I have to pull over, turn the car off, then turn it back on. Then I can drive again like normal. When I pull over, the car idles fine, it just doesn't respond to the accelerator pedal. I get a Service Engine Soon light with codes P0175 (Bank 1 too rich), P0172 (Bank 2 too rich), and P0101 (MAF circuit out of range). I'm assuming the MAF is going out and that's what's throwing the codes, but is that related to the loss of throttle response? Is the car going into limp mode, or do I likely have two separate issues that are just popping up at the same time?

From those codes it could well be the Maf going bad and affecting the fuel trims hence the too rich codes as the car is adding fuel to compensate what it believes is a lean mixture. This sort of problem can also be caused by split or holed rubber intake and vaccum hoses.
Check all rubber componants for splits and holes, replace any that are found. If nothing found then a smoke test would show any up that you cant find visually. Also try unplugging the electrical connection and running the car to see if there is any difference, with it disconnected it will run on default settings held in the engine management.
