Every now and then there is a bit of a spat. But mostly things work well. I don’t really see any need for change. Generally forum members support the notion that everyone has a right to voice their opinion. There will always be individuals who will dispute that and who the freedoms that currently exist.But it doesn’t stop us writing what we believe is right.

Nothing personally as I'm not a moderator. Just thought it would be interesting to gauge opinions. If there are overwhelming votes, then speak to the mods, maybe??Assuming not everybody selects the last option what do you intend to do with the results?

Some of the threads I've viewed as being a bit too honest commentary for the sake of saying something, although nothing is ever untrue or unkind. Newly joined folk don't join in by posting an intro thread (as strongly suggested when you do sign up…) then using the sale area so its arguably fair game.
The most recent one however was just a joke advert, bordering on mostly incorrect, and if it was only advertised elsewhere I'd half expect a thread to be started here to point out corrections on it. We've had those before and they've warned people off what looks too good to be true.

I'm not going to vote, especially as I was asked to delete a Sale thread yesterday.
FWIW I don't think there should be any restriction on comments, but even if they are negative they don't need to be worded in such a way as to come across as malicious. We've usually not stooped to that level on here. Maybe things have got heated due to the weather?

Yeah, if it’s a well written, honest advert for a good car, it’ll get endorsed. If it isn’t, it’ll get called out? which is useful.
Out of interest, is it generally the rarer or more unusual cars that tend to sell through here? I’m selling one of mine at the moment, despite having decent interest elsewhere, haven’t had much interest on the forum.

That's missing the point, a moderator needs to be moderate by definition!
Having never actually owned a Z4 why are you that bothered, and what is it about this forum that keeps you visiting it? And for the avoidance of any doubt that's a serious question.
Off topic I know, but I'm gutted you buggered off somewhere else instead of going to Zedfest as I was really looking forward to seeing your labour of love.
