Coming Back to BMW

Hi all,
Great forum folks. I've decided that having three years away from BMW's I need to return (sorry, been with a Jag). I've decided that it has to be a Z4 for me. I use to have a 3 series which I loved, don't really know why I defected. I don't have a massive amount of money to spend on one, probably about 7-8 thousand. I've been looking around and I think I can get a 2004 2.2 with about 50 000 on the clock. Is there anything I should specifically be looking for when I check them out?

Hi and welcome,as a previous owner of a 2.2 Roadster a great engine in a great car you'll love the sound of the straight six. :thumbsup:
 
welcome- have a look for alanj 's buying guide. Fairly comprehensive- but if your 3 was an e46 then you will know a lot of the issues already.
