Comfy seating position?

I'm 6'1. I'm sure there are taller guys here. How do you guys manage to find a comy position ? Is there any miraculous way to create more space lol?

I'm 6ft. Bit of a struggle getting my feet in sometimes, but the seats as far back as it'll go, and the back rest is also as far back as possible without it rubbing on the rear panel. I'd like a bit more room. I think you could prob improve the angle by lifting the seat higher so your legs slope more.

I'm pushing 6'4". I have the seat as low as it will go, and as back nearly as far as running against the back. I then put the steering wheel up quite hight so I can turn full lock without my knees being dangerous. Feels stupidly hight for a while, but does create a load of room!

Went on a track day in my brothers Elise once and was going like a rocket, then realised my knees would not allow me to turn right! No room between wheel and knee. My brother wasnt happy when we turned the nose in and went flying through the gravel. One of the reasons I bought a Z is because I could fit in.

Good luck and happy driving.

I was thinking of fixing some sort of towel to the back of the seat, then moving it back as far as it would go, hopefully the towel would stop any rubbing issues, Ive not got round to tring it yet. the hardest part will be cutting up a nice fluffy towel without the other half seeing!

I'm only 5'6" so no problem at all for me, sorry not helpful at all I know :D

At 5'5" I'm ok but sometimes have too sit up straighter to get a better view even with the seat as high as it will go. Also, sorry guess this is not so helpful either

Short people are lucky for once :)
Mine is all the way back, at a slight angle but I still need more space

I know this is an ///M thread, but I have ///M seats fitted.

I'm 6.0 and never had the slightest issue. Followed the standard BMW gudence of the 'Making of the Z4' programme and worked really well.

Think the key for me is to not have the seat raked too much. That allows it to go nicely back without touching the rear bulkhead. Seat low but tipped slightly up at the front to support calves. steering wheel extended towards me and then no need for it to be high.

6'3" - seat low and back - left knee can just about move on and off clutch without touching the dash. Steering wheel pulled out to max and raised a tad. Keep experimenting and stay patient!

Must say the Elise experience did make me chuckle. Hope you were both ok!

Took me ages to find a non-back breaking driving position tbh. I'm 6ft, not too heavy ;) never had any problems in any car seat before, but found the sports seats crippling after a long run.

Basically there isn't anything like enough lower back support to any position, other than having the seat fairly upright, as per the Z4 Megafactory vid. That sorts it.
