Comfort access

In theory yes..in practice without spending mega bucks no..part of the problem is the door handles are around £500 each and have to be colour matched..so new ones are normally required…

Would you want it in this day & age?

Is comfort access not the way cars are getting stolen nowadays?

Yes the scumbags have some sort of antenna that they can obtain the signal from your key. Once they have this they can then open the can and drive it away.
The answer is to keep you keys in a Faraday Cage, or specific wallet. You can very easily make your own Faraday Cage by getting a box with a lid (biscuit tin is absolutely idea) and then lining it with some aluminium foil around the inside, and then you simply drop your keys in there when not in use. This way the signal doesn't get out of the box.

You could, as a lot more expensive way, fit a Ghost Immobiliser.

They could just break into your house and steal your keys!!

Hi. I have just bought a 2010 23i without comfort access. Is it possible to add this feature? Thanks.

Yes, it's possible (anything is possible! :D )

It's a lot of work and expense, and there a lot of parts to find, oh and the usual coding to be done to get it to work.

Here you go, a thread on this very subject.... https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=138290
