How many other vehicle manufacturers DON’T recommend a new fuel that comes out midway through a production run on a car? All of them. Why? Why would they? The fuel is an advanced development that is an IMPROVEMEMT, as I’ve said the car manufacturers are not going to change fuel filler cap stickers, and handbooks to outline the development of every new product that comes onto the market, unless these products cause damage why would the manufacturers bother to spend lots and lots of money on PR to tell customers that it’s ok to use them, I would suggest they leave that to the general public to use common sense that the product is perfectly ok to use, since they aren’t told not to on any certain vehicle, and therein is why I’d suggest you don’t use an improvement, one needs common sense.

They're the same thing, just different names. 99RON with a 'nitrogen-based cleaning component'.
If you know so much about it you’ll know, like everyone else does, it’s ok to use in a 35is then, so why pull Sunny up on it in the first place?

To keep the environmentalists happy they had to change their propellant to LPG - but when it went wrong it "blew the bloody walls off"!
But we can't emit CO2 now can we?

Humble 35i here, not mapped. Used V-Power every time until recently, July I think.
Not definitive, but since I switched to supermarket fuel my MPG has improved marginally - which surprises me.
Perhaps were it mapped to take advantage of the higher octane rating it would be different.
Not sure I believe Shell's marketing schpiel.

I was particularly interested in the RON of supermarket fuel. Turns out, it's nearly always 97, which is over the minimum for most German cars. My S4 was 93 minimum so I think unless you have a car mapped for 99 or the like, the 'improvements' are more anecdotal...
