Colour - Seprang Bronze - Views?

I like both Sepang and Pheonix yellow. I saw a Phoenix yellow M3 at Silverstone when BMW launched the E46. I thought it looked amazing then and still do. If the other brain cell goes out looking for its missing buddy I shall buy a low mileage M coupe to sit next to #69 :)

Better get a flack jacket, pipe, leather gloves and some racing goggles to go with the brown car :P

Errr...a flak jacket or a wax jacket? How much do you dislike this colour?

It would be interesting to see phoenix yellow side by side with sepang...
That's just plain childish!

I've not heard any bad comments about Phoenix Yellow after I took it to Silverstone, whereas before I bought it, there were quite a few... You know who you are! :poke:

Guilty

Always find car colour psychology weird. People fall over themselves to buy brown shoes, handbags etc and yet recoil in horror at the thought of brown/bronze whatever-colour-you-want-to-call-it cars.

Why is that I wonder?

I think Sepang Bronze owners are clear about what they like, confident in their choices, unworried about what other people think and individual in mindset.

Those who go for the more mainstream colours...mmm, I shan't attempt to build a profile of them.

Looks like a shade of brown to me. Anyway I thought this thread was about peoples opinions. Thats mine.

Wind your neck in, but touchy aren't you?

My opinion is it isn't brown, your opinion is it is.

At the end of the day figures tell all.

Regardless of colour psychology which I know quite a lot about as an advertiser using colour is a very integral part of the art and using it wrongly can prevoke completely the wrong feeling which is probably why BMW didn't sell any.

Brown is a colour that signifies boredom, reliability, practicality and Earth... also sadness and isolation.

Apart from reliability NON are traits of a Z4M!! Its a sports car not a morris marina.

Thread conclusion.

nah simplistic. We are no longer looking at new cars and sepang is a more complex colour than boring old brown. people that buy new tend to the conservative, they fear colours that may affect resale.

I'm sure that's mostly true Tom but doesn't really explain why brown fashion accessories have always been so popular but does explain why brown suits aren't!! In my line of work generally i wouldn't use brown on a mainstream pub or restaurant but I definitely would consider it in a gastro/high end pub in the right setting.
