Colour of Z4

I have the beige interior and treat it with a leather cleaner/conditioner about once a month, blue jeans are probably the worst for contamination.

Do I need to put in a dark Jean ban??

I managed to get the deal I wanted subject to test drive.
They were really helpful at BMW park lane and it equated to about 10k cheaper than list price.
Pretty much with every conceivable option I wanted

Didn't specifiy lumbar support, DAB, cd changer, high beam assist or steering wheel heating

They said I have time to decide colour and rims etc within limit.
So will have a long perusal on Thursday when they get transporter down.

Very excited now, hopefully delivery in time for June!!
Do these cars need 6000 miles to bed in before using engine properly?

Give it a few miles before revving to high, more important is not to do it on a cold engine.

Sure about not having the heated steering wheel, brrrr and my last piece of advise is you like music then get the loudspeaker system upgrade (245W) as the standard is poor

and as Taz said it's a long wait once you have ordered

The steering wheel heating is a relatively cheap upgrade if people would recommend.
Have already specified the professional loudspeaker upgrade

Nothing I can do about lead time really. BMW park lane is the only one owned by BMW so I doubt that any other dealer could get me a custom build any quicker. Any pre-specified cars on offer with delivery mileage fell rather short on options (no loudspeakers or comfort access or no thru loading).

And yes I imagine there will be many sleepless nights.

I have a general philosophy when it comes to owning cars.

Either get a car you really want, or get a car that gets you from A-B.
Anything in between is an unhappy compromise.

Given that preamble in an attempt to avoid the anticipated ridicule....
..I am currently driving a pearlescent black VW Polo 1.4

...yes I know

If not too late go for Alpine White with the white design package................stunning, really stunning; the comments and admiring glances from youngsters to older and wiser folk, make me so proud and adds to the fun experience.

The white leather is a bit of a pain but overall what's an extra hour in the cleaning regime ?? nowt at all. Did just have a new drivers seat cover as there was a tiny bit of stiching just 'going south' spotted by Wellesway BMW Bath (who are first class I might just add) when in to sort out a flashing light. I simply use a leather cleaner and a feed every three weeks and wear well washed jeans that have no more dye in them to bleed out.

Simples :D :D

Sarah you're quite right in your philosophy about cars. Throughtout my life I've had cars that are the reliable A to B type. Since retiring (early-ish) I have been through quite a few before finding the Z4.

You won't be disappointed (as I'm sure you know) and it's nice to know that, at last, you will have your heartcar, and not your headcar :)

Roll on June (poor thing, it'll drag like anything !!)

I'm with Taz x. I had a black car years ago. What a pain! Black shows dust, water splatters and every sort of thing. You can wash it and then literally watch it get dirty while it is still parked. :x I would recommend some of the lighter colors for that reason. Z4 Pilot

I agree with Pilot & Taz x - Black does look good especially a metallic but they don't half show the dust.

I've only had one black car, but never again. I think silver is good, it may be boring to some, but it seems to keep clean longer.

I can imagine the red looks absolutely stunning with the white interior. Go for it
And welcome.
