Colour of Red M seats or Scuffmaster/Gliptone Liquid Leather

As above does anyone know the colour code of the M seats or the actual colour for the Scuffmaster as I can't find it on their site and want to restore my seats or tidy them up at least.

If you don't get the code then you can do what I did when I re-furbed the M3.

Cut off a piece of leather from a hidden part of the seat, send it to Liquid Leather, and they'll send you a perfect match. :thumbsup:

I went into this to some tune when i had mine - with Liquid leather - they reckon there are at least 4 Imola leathers so the only way is a swab of leather and they will match ( note M3 Imola is probably quite a different shade as the car is assembled in Europe whereas the Z4M in South Carolina)

the best location i found was at the back base of the seat if you feel down you come across a black clip which has the back of the seat under slight tension, beyond this clip there is a food couple of inches of spare leather.

note he needs quite a bit to get a match - he sent my first "sample back" saying it was too small to get a colour match from .

Once Iv looked into this further I'll report back or try and get it listed on their site to help anyone else who is thinking of doing this :)
 
I got the Imola set with toners. I'm guessing no matter which one you get you might need to adjust.

I applied mine with an airbrush. Need to add another coat or two but I'm keen to ensure it soaks into the leather rather than layering on top which looks shite.
