Colour name

Hi my Bmw Z4 2008 2.0i roadster is registered as Black on the Docs: but it has a Black/Blue colour. Does anybody know the name of this Colour. Thanks in advance. S

Not certain but black sapphire metallic maybe?

Hi. Thanks for quick reply, it is metallic. Looked at Bmw colour chart but wasn't sure.

If it looks bluish in sunlight my guess is it will be Carbon Black.

There is a sticker on the driver's side inner wing under the bonnet that will tell you, although it is in German so it will say "Carbonschwarz"!

Would really need to see a picture but it could easily be Monaco Blau same as my car, I thought the car was black at first as well

Sounds the same as mine. If so then it will be Carbonschwarz… if you cut and paste it like 6/7 times into google translate and get it to sound it back to you it sounds quite amusing …. Might just be me though

I like to think that orange becomes brown when viewed through the green filter of envy.
