colour difference

Hi,

Newbie here, Looking at a red Z but looking at the colours on pistonheads, autotrader & eBay I cant see much difference between Imola red, Crimson red and the metalic Melbourne red. I know I should go and see a car with each colour but local dealers don't have any red cars!

Any views?

Unfortunately the only way would be to go and have a look in the flesh if you can't tell any difference from advert photo's

The E89 doesn't come in Imola red so that's one off the list. Crimson is non-metallic and Melbourne is metallic. Crimson is only available on the standard model, and Melbourne is only available on the M Sport.

Thanks both. I found a dealer with a melbourne red zed, I thought it looked gorgeous!
New car (to me!) on the cards.

Never trust colours on the internet, unless you know for sure the camera was colour calibrated, the image wasn't altered and your monitor is also colour calibrated.

Just think of Post Box red. Now look at pictures of post boxes online (haha, if you're bored!) and you'll probably see lots of different shades.

Sure, the pictures will give you an idea, but only seeing in the flesh will confirm.
