colour choice

carbon black , what a gorgeous colour, but what a bitch to get looking good , bright sunshine whilst bringing out the blue also brings out the swirls, tried various compounds and waxes but need to hit it a bit harder with mop etc, the bmw lacquer is so so hard that almost nothing will touch it, makes you wonder how it got so scratchy in the first place, used to paint cars many years ago so maybe more fussy, but i just want swirl free clearcoat, just bought 3m green and yellow supercut and fine cut along with green and yellow foams to giv it another go, any suggestions welcome.

Original guvnor has a dark Z4, he recently did a good job with a DA using

Menzerna PO2S on orange Menzerna pad
Menzerna Super Finish on Sonus SFX Finishing pad.

Hope this helps

PS - Not sure the colour Carbon Black, or swirls are ///M specific, but hey ho :poke: :)

Had my car detailed last year by 'off your marks' well known detailer in the North west. He did say that getting swirls out was a PITA and that the clearcoat on the car was very tough.

Does make you wonder how the f'''ing thing gets swirls on it in the first place given the care we lavish washing them with two buckets, de-ionised water, yeti skin wash mitt, micro filter grit guard and shampoo pressed from the last remining jojoba trees in the Amazon rainforest lol.
