Cologne (perfume) related disaster; requesting advice kind folk

I use a fairly expensive cologne. At least it seems expensive when I'm buying it! Anyway, I've just dropped a large bottle of it on the bathroom floor and the bottle ist kaput. I picked it up quickly so there must be near 100ml left but I'm not sure what to do with it. I've got another bottle so don't worry too much about that. I wondered whether I could store the liquid in another sealed container might preserve it or maybe soak a little cloth or towel in it so that the scent stays around - something like pot pourri.

It's not the end of the world if I just have to pour it away but I thought you might have done this yourselves and have some good ideas?

On the preservation point- place it in another glass bottle /jar or buy something like this

this has prompted quite a bit of discussion in our house - i wasnt aware you couldnt just take the top off a fragrance bottle to refil the contents.
 
:rofl: Sorry this post has cheered me up today, I read the thread title that there had been some disaster in Cologne.

Can't really advise, depending on my mood I only wear Brut33, Old Spice or Hikirati, thats why I have no friends.

Haha, sorry, not a Köln related disaster and nothing to do with the car, which is fine, thanks!

The Fragrance shop product looks the best bet to me - simple once you think about it. The main issue is that the vast majority of those bottles I buy are completely sealed so I can transfer between the broken one and the OK one. Little holiday/break atomiser is a great idea. I've got it in a sealed jar at present but on the plus side, the bathroom smells great!

Glad to have brightened up someone's Sunday!
