Cold air only through dash vents

Noticed last night that the dash vents are only throwing out cold air. Lovely warm air from all the others.
Automatic Aircon switched on, same through both drivers and passengers side.

Any ideas?

Have you adjusted the centre vent blend switch temp wise?

Not too sure what you mean, I had it on Auto, 26 Deg on each side.
Ended up just closing the vents!

The horizontal wheel below the central locking button on the photo.
Very easy to move it to cold when you're dusting.
Double check that first.

Nice bit of Chris Rea there B21

heh heh..yes a big Chris Rea fan..plays some great tortured guitar..not a well bunny..saw him in his last concert before he collapsed on stage at the next gig in Oxford.

So many great tracks..

Christ, that even more well hidden than the recycle button on the steering wheel,!

Not sure how a large colour marked thumb wheel in the middle of the dashboard directly in line of sight can be described as ‘well hidden’?

On your insurance claim did the tree leap out into the road?

The blend wheel did indeed solve my problem!

Must get round to reading the manual, thanks for the responses.

Excellent!
Now if you have trouble with it not cornering very well, there is a big wheel in front of the drivers seat......................... :poke: :D

I had exactly the same experience with my E89 some time ago. It is not documented in the user manual.

I even took it back to the dealers and they couldn’t sort it. I eventually stumbled upon the cause and that fixed it.

Easy mistake to happen in my experience.

FWIW the 18i doesn't have a hot/cold wheel.

I don’t think it comes with dual zone climate control either? :?
Rob
No Roberto, just a hotter/colder dial. Being in the air conditioning industry all my working life I can honestly say it's a breath of fresh air not to have CC. The first company I started was called Climate Control. Happy days.
See what I did there? :D

Hmmm, I don't have an E89 anymore and hence no manual to refer to! I do recall that the blend control is briefly mentioned in the manual but not it's purpose. BMW Nottingham seemed to have not a clue as to why I was getting cold air through the vents all the time :(
