Hi all, thinking of fitting coilovers to my e85 3.0i does anyone have any sugestions for some decent kit that wont break the bank

Why do you want them?

BC racing seem to be well liked and aren't very expensive.

depends what you class as 'wont break the bank'

I run JOM / Stance+ coilovers on most of the z4s ive ever had, and never needed an osteopath or dental work. They are perfectly adequate for UK Roads / improvement over 15 year old /100k+ mile standard suspension.

My current Z4 came fitted with H & R coil-overs, but the only thing adjustable is the ride height. Because they lower it by anywhere from 18mm to 32mm the springs are much shorter than OE so are inevitably stiffer too.

I've kept them for now as they had only been on the car a few months when I got it and I can live with the firm ride for now, but if/when I can't I'd only consider fitting coil-overs with adjustable compression and rebound because without that they don't offer much more than lowering springs!

I have just fitted a full set of Stance+ coilovers to the Z. The Z has done over 183k miles, (full engine rebuild at 170k) by the looks of the old suspension it had never been changed. Yes Stance+ are cheap but as long as they do the job with the miles I cover (1000+ a week) thats all that matters. Ride is a lot firmer plus handling has improved immensely.
