Coilovers suggestions

Looks like my springs broke in my 2004 z4. Install
Quotes are about 300 cheaper for coilovers as compared to new springs/shocks.

Anyone have some budget friendly coilovers they could recommend? Looking at ISC, Megan racing or the MTS technik street.

Also - any other suspension components that should be overhauled along with this replacement?

Treat with caution - they're budget for a reason. At minimum check spring rates - you want aomething around 6kgs F, 10 kgs rear. It's not uncommon for budgets to be fitted with bone-jarringly stiff springs.

Also look at Autodoc for springs and shocks. You should be able to source these cheaper than coilovers, especially today when the discount is 41% on the app.

Wonder if it would be worth buying oem msport springs and just doing that. Certainly would be cheaper and I think it would lower the car by about 15mm. Would I also need new shocks?

If your shocks haven't been replsced recently you should take the opportunity to do so, especially if you're paying for someone to fit them.

Ok - noted. Yea, they are original and it has 70k miles so time for a refresh. Unfortunately, none of the vendors have the eibach/bilstein kit in stock.

Buy cheap, buy twice. Also, the handling on some of the cheaper sets won’t always be what you’d expect from a car like the Z.

That said, have you considered the ST coilovers? They’re a company part of KW and use the same design, just different materials at a friendlier price. The ST X or XA sets may be interesting to look at

Espiz4, are you in the US? Do you have the Sport suspension or Standard springs?

RockAuto has Sport-spec springs from Lesjofors for not too much money, along with competitive prices on Bilstein B4's and other Bilsteins. Not pushing them, but I just purchased springs and B4's from them for my '06 coupe, and I'm very satisfied - I didn't want to lower or stiffen my car beyond the Sport spec. By the way, the 17-year-old rubber spring isolation pads were more flexible and in better shape than the 'bargain' rubber pieces I bought - I kept the originals, so save your money.
