Coil

Would this be a good option?

The link appears to be for an E89 and you have posted in the E85 section so make sure you get the right ones for your car but yes, Eibach are a good addition if you want to go a bit lower

Oops.

Would this be suitable ?

According to my memory, the stated drop for those springs is 40mm.
If you're on //M springs already, then I wouldn't imagine you see such a big drop, but it will be lower.
If you're not in an e85/86, I've no idea :)

Define "dramatically lower" :?

Yes it's a e85 I have. I didn't realise that there would be so much choice. Should I expect the spring to be stronger than a cheap one from quick fit ?

Reply from dealer ...Hello and thanks for your question,

Unfortunately now that I come to double check that, I find that Eibach have discontinued those!

Sorry about that. It's a very new car for them to be discontinuing bits for, especially considering that it's a German car.

That sucks. Really wanted them :(

ebay is your friend..

:)

Thanks

Is there any way that I can check to see if they are the same . Didn't think that any of the springs could fit 2l and 3l?

Would these be similar to http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/lowering-springs/car/bmw/z4/2006/hr-lowering-springs-lowers-35mm??

Afaik, the Eibach springs will fit the 2.0, 2.5 and the 3.0, but I'm sure someone will be along soon to confirm.

As for the H&R springs, they'd be similar I'd imagine, but I've zero experience with that brand on any vehicle, so couldn't comment except to say a majority of folk on here go for Eibach..

Just had all 4 coils checked and they are fine. Any ideas what it could be?

It only becomes noticeable when I'm on a bumpy road . No extra noise when turning

The first post in the thread say's you are looking at lowering the car, not that you're having a problem

so let's start at the start...

you're getting a noise when driving over bumpy ground?
Can you describe the noise? Is it a knock, clunk, grind, whirring, whooshing, shazam noise?
Where is it coming from (which corner)
Does it vary at speeds?

(for those a bit lost, here's the thread talking about the wheel noise :P http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=64445)
