Coil pack

Just dropped a coil pack coming out of the works car park and limped home the 10 miles or so.

Fed up,as Xmas eve tomorrow so that's me probably without a car until 29/12.

Have a mate with a garage who is going to try and get one sent down but where I stay it is unlikely.

:x

I'm in Edinburgh tomorrow and could pick you up any parts from ECP out near the airport and if I get home at a "reasonable" time then I'll take the wee jaunt up to Spean or worse case scenario it'll be Sat for delivery.
Came home to find the wife cleaning the kitchen as a warm up to painting........rather go for a run in the car TBH :D :driving:

Edit:same offer if you want to use Grassicks but probably won't be in Perth until 1pm earliest......BMW Edinburgh??

It's all about my location guys. Thanks for all the offers :(

Highlander that is an awesome offer. Can I PM you tomorrow when I know if my pal has his supplier coming down from Inverness. Either way I reckon I am the best excuse to get out of painting. :D

Tony had me thinking about carrying a spare on Skye but thought that the chances were small I didn't need to. He had belts and everything in his boot!

I will start to carry one just in case there is a next time.

Hi Highlander. Just saw your edit. Not bothered where I get one from really as not an expensive part. As long as Bosch OEM I am happy.

Thanks again for your offer. I will be in touch.

Well educated guess as well as my mechanic pal thinking the same Gareth. Was after 18:00 when I left work so I call for a part until tomorrow morning. His garage is shut tomorrow but he will go in if his supplier is making the 60 mile trip to Fort William and probably fit it as well.

No worries, text me tomorrow if you need my "delivery service" on 07928019844 and I'll get back to you at the 1st opportunity(have a job in the Sick Kids hospital so won't be taking calls for a part of the morning)

On-site at hospital but should be clear by 10am and hopefully leaving Edinburgh straight away in case you need me to collect parts from ECP Edinburgh.

New coil fitted on cylinder Two and engine management light reset. Beers drunk and all is well.

Happy Crimbo everyone. :D

Car mither is bad enough in the year but a day before xmas is  glad you're back in the groove & another round of applause for the forum members offering assistance

The help offered was awesome. I was going to add to your thread Mr Wilks on the subject of forum help offered but can say it here instead.

Really added to my Christmas feeling of goodwill although I know it would have happened at anytime throughout the year.

Once again happy Christmas folks

Happy days....nothing worse than a broken car/bike/whatever and free time, makes the desire to use it all the stronger.......VERY frustrating.
Was kinda looking forward to a wee drive today :D ......have to be Sat now although weather looks grim......woodburner glowing a radioactive heat output and a bottle of Port more likely
Enjoy the holiday time all
