Coil Over Removal

Evening all,

My new Coupe sport is currently riding on KW coil overs and whilst the handling is impressive on certain surfaces, the reality where is I live down in Devon, it's not practical or particularly comfortable, so it's got to go. So I'm thinking Bilstein B4 paired with the Eibach's.

I'm putting together a parts list of what I think I'm going to need to refit as I'll no doubt be missing certain bits. I'm going to replace the top mounts, roll bar bushes and drop links whilst I'm at it.

Front
1. Top mounts -31336779613

Rear

Anyone else done this and anything obvious I've missed, any other bushes worth doing whilst I have it in bits ?

just done mine, eibachs and b4's are an excellent combo.
I did find that the spring pads were like new and didn't need replacing.
Watch out with the top mounts, many suppliers will give you e46 but they are not the same as the camber pin is in the wrong place.
 
Soz for late reply, not been getting any alerts from the forum, don't know why.
B4's from larkspeed, took 5 days direct from the factory. Didn't do the spring plates, everything looked A1 so no need.
 
I picked the hottest day of the year to fit everything, it was all going smoothly until I snapped the pinch bolt off the front drivers side hub carrier with the impact gun !! :headbang: Had to drill it out, was a complete nightmare, but got there in the end.

The ride form B4's and Eibachs is far more civilized :thumbsup:
 
I'll be going down this route too at some point. Already bought the eibachs from a forum member. Can you tell me how much all the required parts cost?
 
B4’s, Eibachs & the top mounts came from Autodoc and were £480

Spring pads and upper spring plates from BMW £70

Didn’t do the drop links they were fine
