Which one do people favour , I'm just looking for a leave in the car just in case job .
I've put this message in the correct place this time , must stop watching tv and trying to type , and before the female members say it , I know , men can't multitask

I originally bought the all singing BMCables kit and multi coding software but after coding what I wanted realised that it was beyond what I needed and my capabilities/patience :D But If you want to do deep diagnostics and code functions on your car this is the one to have. http://www.bcables.com/

I then bought a cheap OBD2 V1.5 Bluetooth plug-in device for about £7 and paired it to the £4 Torque Pro App on my Android phone which is an easy to use and fun bit of kit. You can read and reset basic codes and do all sorts of gadgety things with graphs and virtual dashboards. It's not a serious coding device but works well for basics (on any OBD2 vehicle not just BMW).

Thanks for the info but my phone cost 20 euro 2 years ago and it makes and receives calls , I'm just looking for a hand held plug in type that gives the error codes and cancels them if poss , androids are in movies in my world

I've just ordered a c110 V1.1 code reader from Amazon for £39 - apparently will allow you to reset the airbag warning light which some readers won't do. Can't say whether it works as it's not arrived yet, but others on here have bought it and recommended it.

I have just ordered the same code reader C110 after seeing a recommendation on here , arrives next week fingers crossed from EBAY .

:D Ordered via flea bay on Thursday , arrived today (Saturday morning) free delivery £35.99 from NEXUS 7 , Northampton what a relef for me as I was a flea bay virgin and never myself bought anything off there. :D :driving:

I can confirm that the C110 does indeed reset the airbag light. It'll probably come back on the next time someone sits in the passenger seat, :? but saves me paying another £20 to the local indy to reset... The reader uses an easy to operate menu system and also does a range of BMW's and Mini's - which is handy as our other car is a Cooper S, so all in all £35 well spent.
