Code door unlock with Carly

I think I saw that it is possible to code the doors to unlock when you turn the engine off, rather than having to remove the keyfob.

Is this possible, and where do I find this in Carly?

Yes it's possible but can't remember for sure which module it's in, I think you'll find it in the NFRM

Carly doesn’t show me anything like NRFM but it does have CAS.

In here is an option to unlock when ejecting key, I tried with that turned on and off, made no difference, doors unlocked when ejecting the fob.

Need to see if there are more options.

I did manage to change the orientation of the pdc display (not sure if I like it) and also turn on the blips when locking/unlocking the car.

It’s also possible to code ejecting the fob after a long press on the engine stop button

NFRM is what it is, but probably down as Footwell Module (can't actually remember at the moment)

Did you also know that you can put the key in, start the car, stop it, eject the key and immediately press the start button and it'll start without the key in! 8)

If the key & the ring antenna immobiliser are in close enough proximity

I couldn't remember how far away my key was last time I tried it, so I did it this morning.
I placed the key on the passenger seat and the car started :driving:  and no I don't have Comfort Access.

I could not find the coding option, but have a look here for possible options:

Well I've just checked and in CAS there is this option.
I think that the explanation may be wrong, and this is what you want, worth a try if you haven't already.

Thanks, I will try that.

I want it to try and reduce the number of times people nearly rip the door handle off when I stop the car cos they don’t understand the 2 pull bmw method, instead just think “pull harder” ooooeerrr, normally works for me 😂😂

In hospital at the moment with gallstones! 5 of my 7hr drive from Darlington to Devon yesterday were in agony!

Having the gallbladder out next Friday and been managing for 3 months but for some reason it’s kicking off at the moment!
