Clutch vibration question

On the car (see sig), if I pull away with very limited throttle, I get a shudder though the car as the clutch does not seem to be engaging properly. If I use a decent amount of throttle, there's no problem at all, smooth departure. Also occasionally on a downshift with mismatched rev's a similar shudder occurs.

So, might this be normal? Or something to have looked into? Can a technician inspect the clutch easily?

P.S. Mileage ~110K, no record of previous clutch change in what history I have.

I thought the same when I purchased my Zed but its probably the clutch delay valve which BMW seemed a bit obsessed with at the time. In theory it softness clutch engagement in gears 1 and 2 but is in fact quite jarring. They are quite easy to remove plenty of people on here have done so there is a thread explaining how. I'm sure someone else will be along to link it soon or tell me I'm wrong which is very possible - might I had a similar experience :driving:
