Clutch Stuck // No Crank

Hello guys good afternoon,

we’ll I have an issue with my 2007 Bmw Z4 6spd 3.0i manual transmission…

A few months ago I was running my car at high speeds in sport mode and the car was running perfect and shifting everything and when I was arriving my place I pressed the sport button to turn it off and the car just went crazy, my clutch got stuck.

I got home with the car in neutral and when I turned it off I tried to start it again but the clutch won’t go down and it’s really hard to press, no crank no start and the car doesn’t show any codes or failure, all gears are good and the car moves in neutral but the car won’t even crank.

Can someone help me with this issue? Been like 3-4 weeks and no one was able to fix it or make it start.

Pd: a few friends told me to press the clutch button to try to start it but I can’t even find it under the dash, no idea if there is an security switch or pyro fuse…

I can’t be the only one confused by your posts. Initially it was you friends car a 2006 model….now it is yours and a 2007 model. Originally it broke down at the Mall and had to be left there, now it seems you made it home to your house before the problems began.

You previously said” his mechanic” (is that now your mechanic?) said he needs to pull down the the transmission to change the clutch and some other parts etc.. what was that prognosis based on, did he check the clutch cylinder was working etc? Has a professional mechanic actually looked at the car at all? If so, what exactly did he say?
