Clutch stop?

History, I sold my automatic Z4 a few months ago. I am now looking to replace with newer one. At Homecoming the wife and I managed to talk the guys into letting us rat race the Z's around the wet track even though they were closing and starting to put the cars away. I took the standard Z4M Coupe. To make a long story short this was my first experience in a standard Z4 (I have driven plenty of standards). They hurried us so I could not adjust my seat to much and get comfortable. It seemed like the standard has a long clutch stroke and it felt really alien. Now the future, a friend of mine let me drive his standard Z4 yesterday. I spent some time getting comfortable and getting adjusted. Took a good drive and still found the clutch throw seems really long. My leg was fully extended and the seat was as far up as I could go. I had no problems and I shifted like a champ (except for the reverse really needed to be notched in). I would like to include a standard Z4 in my search but I am wondering if I am the odd one that judges the clutch this way. I did do a quick search and see one of the members made a homemade clutch stop. Anyone else done this or does anyone have any input? :driving:

Clutch stop works great.... the clutch begins take up right off of the floor (stop).

FWIW....
I had the Rogue stop but just switched to the UUC stop.

My Rogue stop broke down over time & became loose at the connection point.
.... the stopper is fastened to the main bolt with a small machine screw.

The UUC is a much more solid molded piece.

I also picked up some UUC clutch arm bushings which take some of the slop out of the clutch arm action.
