Clutch Delay Valve

Since getting my Z4 in November, I have always had an issue with the change from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd particulary when pottering about town and even more so when using about 75% power. The car was very jerky/juddery but I put it down to running in/getting used to a manual after 6 years of X6 auto driving. A bit of research on here and a quick google search and I discovered this;

Took my friendly garage 10 mins to do the job and now the problem is solved. The changes are so much smoother and I now feel in control of the car. This together with the change out from run flats makes my Z a totally different vehicle to drive.

Two of the easiest mods to improved ride and drive quality.

Hi Gonkface
The CDV has been the topic of discussion many times on this forum and there is plenty of Z4 specific info about it.

Welcome to the site and keep sharing your experiences though that's what its all about.
Cheers :thumbsup:

I've just searched this site for 'CDV' as I find the transmission on our new Z4 disappointingly jerky, but the search came up "no results".

What am I doing wrong?

Not sure? It works for me just out cdv in search and I get loads of hits :?
The throttle response and lower gears can be a challenge...... still 'kangaroo' when the engines cold from time to time :oops:
