Clutch Delay Valve Bleeding Help

Hello people Happy New Year :)

I've got a couple questions regarding bleeding after removing the cdv.
Can you confirm that this is the bleed nipple in the picture.? If it is the bleed nipple it looks like it could break easy if it's seized.!!! Was worried about snapping it off.!!
Is it just a case of put a spanner on it, turn it quarter of a turn then get someone to push the clutch down, then do the nipple up. Then repeat.??

Last question it's seems that some people don't bother bleeding at all if they have used the clamp method, have a lot of you done this.???????

Thanks Chris

Hi,

yes that's the bleed nipple, you will have to bleed it even If you clamp it as air will get in anyway...just not as much.

If you are really concerned about it being seized, spray it with some penetrating oil and leave for a while, then try it, about 1/4 turn is correct.

I did mine last week, used this :- http://www.ebay.ie/itm/271279146179?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649, it's a one man job with that tool and very easy, no need to press the clutch pedal !
