 i'm from the bay (california)
my baby is at the doctors right now. :(

took it in for a concern i had where i would feel a little bit of a "judder" when pressing on the gas pedal. long story short, the drive belts are being replaced for preventative maintenance, and i'm taking care of the needed inspection 1 that i was going to do 2 weeks from now. total job cost = US$ 2060 (parts, labor, tax).

oh.. i turned it in yesterday morning, and i get it back tuesday night or wednesday. the actuator has to be special ordered from BMW and it so happens that the part is aaaaall the way in funkin' Florida.

my wallet is hurting. but i have a job to pay for it.

my cheeks are hurting. im smiling because my ride will be good as new since they found nothing else out of the ordinary. but i'm also learning how to magically crap out money.

damn maintenance*

where is the water pump located?

i'm leaking coolant by the trickle now and the leak is coming from the vecinity where you would add more coolant into the car; the radiator cap. except! it's seems like it is coming from one of the small hoses directly beneath it.

i heard a comment from a family member that it could be the water pump's bearing which is causing the liquid to leak out. but, my guess is that when i took the car to the shop originally (actuator/belts), they might have moved something around. and honestly, i really don't want to spend another 500 dollars for another repair :!:

help is greatly appreciated! :)

got my car back. it shifts like it was brand new.

in case anyone else needs to have this done later on in the future... here is a good ball park figure of some work done.
