Clunk noise - can only hear when driving slowly

Hi All,

I was driving in a multi-storey car park the other day, and noticed as I was trundling along in 1st occasionally I could hear a 'clunk' noise. Couldn't determine where it was coming from, but assumed it could be suspension related as it seems to be a common problem in Z4s.

I have had my car 8 months now, and it's still under BMW AUC warranty - was wondering if anyone could tell me if broken suspension would be covered, if indeed that was the problem.

I only hear the noise when travelling slowly, particularly over smooth surfaces. It might be nothing and i'm being paranoid, but thought I'd check to be sure!

Okay so I now know it's covered by the warranty. And I also know springs are a common problem (sticky, duh!).

My follow up question is how I could tell if a spring was broken? Would I hear it clunk all the time?
