Not sure if anyone has come across this before but thought I would post it.
Been getting a clunk from the front of the car when I pulled on to the drive since I jacked it up last weekend to strip, clean lubricate and paint the rear brake components.
I first thought it might be the front suspension but It sounded like it was coming from under the drivers floor.
Checked under the bonnet and found the the fasteners on the diagonal strut braces were all loose. Tightened them up snug and the clunk has gone away.
I guess that jacking the car up one side at a time to do he brakes caused the body to flex and the position of the braces to shift thus loosening them
Apologies if this has been posted before
Chris
