Clueless noob trying to figure out which headlight bulbs I need

I recently purchased an ‘05 3.0i with Angel Eyes headlights already installed. The main bulbs + top strip thing are yellow, though, and I’d like for them to be white. Which bulbs do I need? I ordered a pair of H7 LEDs from amazon already for the low beam (which I think is right?).

Here I have my gf holding on to the high beam switch.. and these appear white here whereas the same spot appears yellow in the earlier pic?

I really don’t know the first thing about any of this stuff, so help would be appreciated. amazon.ca links would be a huge plus, too

Part of the colour change across different pictures is due to the automatics white balance correction on your camera.

If they're aftermarket headlights (do you know what make, they look like Sonar/Excite ones to me), then I'm sure some on here with the same ones can tell you what bulb they use.



Easiest way would to simply pull the bulb-holder out and see...but whatever they are, you'll probably find a nice LED to give you a nice, brighter white (but stay away from ice white or ice blue, as they'll create a bluer light than what you've already got) - probably 4000-5000 kelvin will be white enough.

However, it they are the Sonar ones, then I think you have to remove the back of the headlight to get to the bulbs - which may mean removing the headlight from the car.

Hey, thanks for the help. I saw that there’s some writing on one of the headlights.

It’s a Sonar sk3302-103z03.

In front of the inner bulb, there’s small writing that says H1. In front of the other one, it says H7 VOR (is this different from normal H7?).

I already ordered a pair of H7s yesterday, so I guess I need a pair of H1 LEDs? I’m slightly confused because amazon is showing H1s as not compatible with my car, but idk if that’s just referring to the stock headlight kit and if that’s different since I have the Sonars.

One more question: is the top strip/eyebrow lit by another bulb (ie do I need to get another set of bulbs to get rid of that yellow?), or is it just one of the other two?

Yes, you'll have at least 6 bulbs in there. 1 x H7 for dipped beam, 1 x 55W H1 for full beam, 1 for indicator, 1 for sidelight and a couple for the angel eyed. I can't tell you what bulb each uses though as I don't have these headlights (or a user manual for them).

I don't know how the angel eye is wired/connected, so have no idea how it's illuminated, but other posts on here show that people have swapped in a LED 501 W5W bulb.
