Close to buying, but need a sense check

Hi

Im pretty close to buying my first z4 but for some reason I'm having a last minute panic. I've always thought it was a beautiful car but ruled it out because I'm 6'3" and didn't think I'd be able to fit, couldn't believe it when I had a test drive and felt more comfortable than in some saloons I've owned ! Then decided it wouldn't work because I play golf, guess what the golf bag fits in the boot ! It will be my main car for work, driving from Liverpool to Manchester once a week and the odd drive to London.

I think I'm maybe worrying that it won't work as an everyday car, does anybody else regularly drive long distances in theirs ?

Thanks

Im 6'3" and although I need the seat right back, its a fine every-day drive and longer trips (in my case 1200 miles from West Wales to SW France) are a breeze.

Go for it

I talked myself out of buying a Z4 twice. Last week I bought it and I ABSOLUTELY love it! I keep finding excuses to go to the supermarket & Homebase! :) I doubt you'd regret it. :driving:

I recently transported one of those 6 foot tall spiky plants you get from Ikea in the passenger footwell, lent up across the seat.

So unless you have an extremely oversized set of golf clubs you should be able to transport them in the same way.

Thanks forthe replies. It just doesn't make sense that this car should be relatively comfortable, practical and economical. I'm going for it, cheers

Me too! It took me 2 years of talking myself into it, then out of it, then back into it again. But I am Captain Cautious (plus I was reluctant to let go of my previous car - see my post in this section).

Remember, you can always get rid of it if you don't like it - but you won't! :D

Go for it :driving:

I do about 25k a year in mine no sweat long or short trips and like lacroupade travel down to the south of france without any discomfort. I only have to do about 800 miles to provence so only two thirds of his monster trip (do you do that in one hit lacroupade?) but 10 hours driving is no problem. Last driving trip i did about 2500 miles in 16 days and no problem at all.
colint let us know when you've done the deed and post some pics :)
