Hi all,

My car has developed a noticeable 'clunk' when turning hard(ish) from the rear left.

Its booked in Saturday but not sure if I should be driving it in the meantime.

There is no clunk when just driving or going over bumps so I don't think its a suspension issue.

Maybe RTAB? the car has done 117,000 and they're the original ones still.

Thoughts?

thanks :)

It could be a multitude of things including top mounts on the rear shocks. Also if the roof motor been moved make sure it's properly secured in the new position. Mine wasn't and make a clucking noise that I initially thought was the rear top mount. When i looked in to it I realised it was down to the roof motor relocation I had done for me being a rushed shoddy job

Hi Mack,

Thanks for your input.

The motor is still in its original location.

The top mounts have done 117,000 miles also so they could well be the issue. Wouldn't I get a clunk going over speed bumps if it was them though?

I've just ordered some powerflex RTAB and top mounts, even if they aren't what it causing the clunk it's about time they were changed.
