Does anybody know of an easy way to remove the control unit? I want to replace mine with a facelift one :) had a look at TIS but thought there might be an easier way of doing it.

Well the part looks identical (pre- and post-facelift) in realoem and seems to come out as a lump.....just have a go LOL.

I agree they do look quite nice , and a better IMO as well.... as regards to knob removal have no idea .... best use two hands... :roll:

I have got the unit which I am going to change with, the only question was how do you remove the old unit from it's place on the dash and replace it with the new one!

should have known you are going to come up with some answer :poke: have you got the parts yet? see, I was a good boy and bought the pedal covers no argument ;) get on with it then :x
 
Aaahh yes, the 12v alu socket cover... Waiting till I get paid at the end of the month! :P

seriously, apart from the way shown in TIS, does anybody know how to remove this unit from the dashboard?
 
TIS instructions look easy, what's the problem.

Remove lower panel under controls.
Remover Stereo.
Undo two screws that hold AC panel in place.
Remove panel

Simplez :wink:
