I'm aware of only one problem we had once with one link and the minute the mod team would become aware of any problem we would remove the link. A good firewall and anti-virus program like AVG will prevent most problems.
It is your responsibility to have the appropriate security packages in place as you would on any web page. Administrators here can only do so much; the rest is up to you.
