clearing headlight lens - how to?

The headlights on my car (xenons) are starting to look a bit "foggy".
how would one go about getting the crystal clear sparkle back?

(also, is there a new way of "clearing" the orange hockey sticks, or is it still an epic case of headlight surgery ala cj10Jeeper's howto?)

Shame you're not local or we could do it. We use a variant of grades of wet and dry, (depending upon severity) working up to 3k, then polish, and then finish. (Both with machine) x

Be interested in that kits name to- just tried to wet and dry mine before silverstone the other week and made them worse! :headbang:

I'm not obverse to a trip darn sarf at some point ;)

when you say "we".. who are "we"?

Sorry, a friend and I detail motors most weekends etc. Headlight correction is just one of the things we do. We did a 2000 renault sport clio this week, it just looked like we'd fitted new headlights.

Cheers-how easy is it to do as I am worried now I made such a balls with the wet and dry

Anyone could do it, I just followed the instruction. Everything is included.

After stage one you do think "omg what have I done". But keep calm and they come up like new, absolutely crystal clear. Just taken your time.

Toothpaste works as polish too, if you don't mind a bit of tendonitis.

Cheers Popey- MrPT I used toothpaste in the past but after my little excursion with wet and dry they now need a proper buff

I had similar problems with my headlights. I used the 3M kit, it worked really well and I was very pleased with the results.

I did a write up for it here.

I can also vouch for the quality of RJS-Z4's polishing skills :)
