located in Swansea south wales if youd rather collect.

thanks

I guess as you are not looking to buy as per his initial terms e.g. swap, then its his choice on which buyer he chooses

Removed the swap post, not mentioned in the PM, anyway giving up buying/selling on here... 3rd time now!!

I did make a £90 offer, but I should have been asked if I wanted to up the offer before sold to another member... Just out of courtesy.... I would, maybe i'm too nice :o

Last post on this matter as it will infuriate me again as the HardTop fiasco did! :x :x

This happened to me with a Induction kit a while ago Terry as well :(

I was first to comment/offer but as my offer wasn't the asking price i lost out! (i would have paid asking price). But apparently (or so i was told) the first full asking price offer secures it.

I was under the same impression as you though, if the seller had said to me it's full asking price or someone else wants it i would have given him the full asking price.

I'm not sure I see an issue with this? If PM'ing 'secured' a negotiating position, what's to stop people sticking any old offer in to block out other potential buyers? If you want it badly enough, offer full price. If it's over priced, it won't sell and the seller can drop the price accordingly. Most items offered here are at significant discount over new anyway (if still available).

There is a stupid offer and a close but cheeky offer, if it was the later i feel they should at least have the chance to offer full amount before it goes to someone else.

I understand why this isnt the case though and am not moaning about it, i learnt the hard way!
