Clear Lights All Done....

After having no luck drying out the old headlights I decided to chase some face-lifted units which I eventually sourced, repaired using the bracket repair kits, purchased some clear repeaters and today finally got round to fitting them....takes years off....

Thankyou,I used 3M pads round the edges to hold it in place and Araldite on the central lugs...so far so good....

I wish you hadn't done that...
...mine the same colour as yours and now i have to admit, that does look miles better :x

I sourced 1 light from a BMW spares place in Doncaster, the other light privately through EBay,it did take almost a month to get hold of some and they needed bracket repairs,it was a fairly simple process removing bumper etc...

I replaced the dipped beams with upgraded bulbs and the rear casing never re-sealed correctly and never managed to shift the moisture,by the time I got rear seals replaced it was too late

I have them now and they are dried out fully, just need a good clean, they work perfectly and are only a year old as BMW replaced them both last year but not the seals!!! - if anyone is planning a cut and shut or wanting pre-facelift lights they should be fine once clean....

I've got to admit I much prefer the clear look....
