Is there a certain way I will have to wire it up so that I can have it as being on when I turn on sidelights?

Years since I do mine, but cut the wire to the sidelight and use that as the feed. I suggest use bullet connectors so you can reconnect the sidelight if ever needed.

Locate a brown earth lead and use that as the return. Guaranteed to work so long as you connect the led the correct way around

All back together and working fine. One last problem is that I have a yellow bulb defective light on my dash. What is the best way to clear this?

Usual cause is that LED's draw such a low current the car detects that the bulb is 'out'. Some LED's compensate for this, but if not, then the easy fix is to wire a 5w resistor in parallel with the LED. Put it inside the headlight and where heat won't matter.

Would this explain that when I turn the sidelights on, the indicator lights also turn on? Or have I put the stems back in incorrectly.
When I use dipped headlights the angel eyes are working fine, it kinda seems as if the car is needing a second light to be on at the same time

From memory when a sidelight is out the indicators light up as a visible warning. You're wiring or likely fine, just too low a current draw, but you'd have to check the LED's to know that

Finally got around to reopening my headlights, fitted new angel eyes, (bargain £25 inc delivery), also made some clear hockey sticks out of light diffuser.
I think they look loads better, just need to align everything up as I was in a rush to get back together.

Next up repaint the front bumper and fit lower diffuser, hopefully all jobs done then.

I also managed to give the wheels a new lick of paint after some slight curbing, can't even blame the other half for that.

Fancy installing some angel eyes on mine now, but haven't got a clue what I need.

I've split the headlamps open before and actually re-opened one today after the glass dome for the indicator came loose!

Also, i'd prefer not to buy angel eyes with bulbs that fail after a couple of months, so what are the best ones to get? Cheers.

I ended up removing the mirror tint film I put over the glass domes, so you can clearly see the orange reflection now needs must though.

I of course used ccfl tubes and am impressed with longevity as none have failed after 7/8 years so well happy.
Think I'd go later gem tech and use led's if I didn't again. Slightly brighter and would expect them to outlive the car

Sorry no idea as it depends how you mount them.

Hopefully one of the guys who used them will come back with suggested sizes.

I purchased 4 80mm led rings from here

They are plenty bright enough if you look back a page or two you'll see them fitted on my car.
For the money I don't think you can go wrong

Where did you guys wire your angel eyes to? I want them as drl's as I have auto lights, so don't want to have to switch the sidelight on everytime to turn them on. Is this possible?

yes - there is a switched live feed available in the cabin, look in the top right hand corner (as you stand at the front, facing the engine):

There are 4 (IIRC) T25 Torx screws that you need to remove, then the lid is slightly hinged:

The red/white wire is the switched live - i use an inline fuse fed from the wire around the loom to the headlights, with a grommet (and sealant) on the entry point into the headlights

Use that as the switched live, and tap to the earth inside your headlights.
