You can have facelift lights at 350 euro, but they are not oem and look more like the e89 lights... They don't look bad though.

...But the AE are totally useless on those. I have a set and they do look very nice, just not on that aspect.

How's that? Not powerfull enough? Surely you can change the bulbs?

Just about to bond the lens back on to the headlight but can't bring myself to go for it as every time I think its clear of dust I spot another bit....any tips on getting rid of this pesky dust

Pics of yours Leesfarm07  Did you ever get happy with there being no dust in the lights!? :D

Ive just bought these
Should take about 10 days to come through which isn't bad. Total of about £69! Not bad.

This is a thread on the forum about these LEDs and the diffusers too...

Something that could do with being added to the thread is the resistance of the sidelight bulb if anyone knows it?

As that would mean the AE's could be on with no sidelights and no annoying bulb warning on the dashboard.

Those leds are pretty expensive... I got my ccfl's for much less, including a transfo-box for each side, specifically for the Z4. They are not superbright tho

They are still quite rare and hard to find compared to CCFL's

LED's don't require transfo box / ballasts

But don't you get an awful yellow looking ring at daytime?

Ranski, you had any of the individual LED's go out yet? mine have been on now for about 6 months, about 3 on 1 ring have died , luckily i have another set ... but need to open up the lights again.... argh!

If you led's are going out so quickly i would tempted to get a voltage regulator fitted.

LED's should last almost as long as the car does! New cars employ non replaceable LED's...

I had an A5 and the DRL's died twice on them within a year (from new).. the second time they released it was not the lights.. but some electrical module (but they had to shell out $$ replacing the headlights!)

No, all the LED's are working fine

Have you had any moisture buildup in the headlight? As this could have caused the issue?
